Bid for a tour, tasting and gift basket from the Spirit Works Distillery in Sebastopol, CA!

Founded, owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Timo and Ashby Marshall, Spirit

Works are dedicated to the “grain to glass” philosophy. This means that each batch of their delicious spirits starts with whole grains that are brought to the distillery and then milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, and finally bottled — entirely on-site.

Before starting Spirit Works, Ashby and Timo worked for many years as part of the Greenpeace actions team. Our ships play a special part in their story, as they each worked as crew for over three years, met on a Greenpeace ship and got engaged onboard. Our ships are even part of their brand, as the UPC code on all their labels is a rendition of the Rainbow Warrior under sail.

A tour and tasting at their distillery will include great stories from their time on the environmental front lines, in addition to showcasing their unique and exceptional spirits. With their dedication to the environment in mind, Spirit Works is committed to using locally sourced, organic products as often as possible, and only all-natural ingredients.

This item includes a tour and tasting for up to ten, as well as a gift basket containing four flasks and three bottles of their delicious spirits for the winning bidder. Please bid generously for a chance to experience firsthand all the things that make Spirit Works so unique and special!

Bid for a ride in the Greenpeace Airship! Somewhere between a blimp and a hot air balloon, Greenpeace thermal airship, named A.E. Bates, is one of four vessels of its kind in the United States and one of only 60 in the world.

The A.E. Bates Thermal Airship has been owned and flown by Greenpeace since 2010. It is named in honor of the late Mr. A.E. Bates, who gave over 25,000 hours of volunteer service to the organization over a span of 17 years before his passing in 2008.

The unique and airborne nature of our airship and its ability to display banners that can be changed to represent specific campaigns allow us to communicate large visual messaging in spectacular fashion. Over the years, Greenpeace has used it to draw attention to issues ranging from the problems of overfishing in the Bering Sea to the impacts of global warming in Glacier National Park.

Greenpeace will work with the winning bidder to schedule a flight time at an appropriate place in the greater Bay Area. It is, of course, weather dependent, so please bid generously on this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a bit of scheduling flexibility in mind.

Bid for a ride in Greenpeace’s iconic Hot Air Balloon! Like our airship, it’s unique and airborne nature combined with its ability to display different banners tailored for specific projects allow us to communicate our campaign messaging in dramatic fashion. Hot air balloons have long been a part of the Greenpeace fabric. Historic Greenpeace balloon events include flights over the Berlin wall in 1983, over the US Nevada nuclear test site in 1987 and over the Taj Mahal during a protest in India in 1998.

We’ve had our current balloon since 2008 when it made its inaugural flight during the famous Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta to draw attention to the threat of global warming. It was a spectacular sight over the horizon and drew a lot of attention to itself in the midst of many amazing balloons at one of the largest balloon events in the world. Since then it has been used by Greenpeace to highlight environmental problems and solutions around the globe. Greenpeace will work with the winning bidder to schedule a flight time at an appropriate place in the greater Bay Area. It is, of course, weather dependent, so please bid generously on this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a bit of scheduling flexibility in mind.

Looking to take your party hosting game to another level? How about an outing for up to 10 people in our fleet of Rigid Inflatable Boats? We'll take you and your crew out for a day on the Bay they'll be talking about for years to come.

Your generous bid could win an incredible excursion that will include rides across the Bay, an island picnic, drinks, photo ops and memories to last a lifetime. It's a chance to not only experience the Bay like never before, but to also get an idea of what it's like to be involved in Greenpeace's sea-based efforts that our signature RIBs make possible.

Greenpeace will work with the winning bidder to schedule a party like no other. It is of course weather dependent, so please bid generously on this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a bit of scheduling flexibility in mind.

Bid for a ride in a Greenpeace Rigid Inflatable Boat! While these boats in our fleet (otherwise known as RIBs by their acronym) might not be our biggest boats, they are often our most effective tools at sea.

Below the water is a rigid hull that allows the boat to travel at high speeds through rough seas. A specially-constructed rubber tube that runs along the bow and sides of the hull gives the boat exceptional buoyancy and stability in the water. A powerful engine makes the boat fast and maneuverable. For applications such as getting between a whaling ship and a whale, stopping toxic waste dumping at sea and confronting illegal fishing operations on the high seas they have no equal.

Many Greenpeace inflatables over the years have had barrels of radioactive waste dropped on them, been squashed by ships transporting illegal timber and been sprayed with powerful water cannons from offshore oil rigs. They have confronted whalers in the Southern Ocean, helped document the full extent of the Gulf Oil Spill in 2010 and played a key role in our campaign to keep Shell from drilling in the Arctic in 2015. These boats have been used by Greenpeace around the world in our global efforts to protect the environment.

Greenpeace will work with the winning bidder to schedule a memorable outing on the Bay. It is of course weather dependent, so please bid generously on this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a bit of scheduling flexibility in mind.
